Ethio Telecom has completed the system and other prerequisites for the launch of the mobile phone service and has completed the first round of mobile phone service training starting from March 23-26, 2021 at the Telecom Excellence Academy.

Before the implementation of the training, design work was done by identifying training programs; The training programs are designed to integrate mobile money service awareness, system as well as approved processes and procedures. The training is divided into three types of training based on the target stakeholders. Accordingly, 32 trainers dedicated to train internal and external agents, customer support and finance have taken ToT from March 18, 2021.

Next, on March 23, 2013, 181 candidate trainers attended a wide range of agent training. The trainees will return to their workplaces to train selected and sales staff in all regions and zones per the program, and the coaches who trained the trainers will be deployed together for the success of the training. Training for customer support, finance, and master agents will be provided at the Telecom Excellence Academy.

Before the launch of this official training, 402 management members (17 Ethio telecom senior management for half a day face to face training, 301 managers from different departments for one-day online training, and 84 sales management members face to face training for one day) have taken training on the basic eco-system of Ethio telecom mobile money.

For the success of the mobile money training program, the company’s senior management, Sales Division, Telecom Excellence Academy, Customer Experience and Quality Management, Customer Service, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Systems divisions have played a great role.
